Dr. Landes is a renowned economist, writer and professor at the University of Chicago Law School. He has published extensively on a wide variety of subjects since the 1960’s, including multiple pieces on mergers and joint ventures. Previously, Dr. Landes taught at Stanford University, Columbia University, City University of New York, Fordham University and The University of Chicago. He also held a position at the National Bureau of Economic Research for over 10 years. Dr. Landes received his Ph.D. in Economics from Columbia University.
Stephen R. Quazzo, CEO, Transwestern Investment Company, LLC
Mr. Quazzo is Co-Founder and CEO of Transwestern, a Chicago-based real estate principal investment firm established in 1996. Over the last 11 years, Transwestern has acquired interests in over 425 office, retail, industrial and multifamily properties representing a gross investment of more than $8.5 billion. Previously, Mr. Quazzo served as President of Equity Institutional Investors, a subsidiary of investor Sam Zell's private holding company, and was a Vice President in the Real Estate Department of Goldman, Sachs & Company. Mr. Vojticek is Managing Director and Head of the North American portfolio management team having oversight of all sectors of the North American real estate securities market for RREEF, one of the largest managers of alternative assets worldwide. Mr. Vojticek is responsible for a team of 15 associates with total assets under management of over $12 billion.
